Examples

Instead of using plastic bags from stores, bring a reusible bag from home made fom cloth and use it every day.


Reuse

To use an object over and over in order to narrow down (reduce) the amount of trash in landfills and in the ocean.  

Examples

Use old tshirts around the house as rags or to make pillows or stuffed animals.

Get creative. Whether you need a pencil or paintbrush holder around the house or your local elementary school is collecting for crafts, you can help recycle. 

Recycle

 To make something new out of something old or to use an object over and over in order to reduce the amount of trash in landfills and in the ocean.

Examples

Not just plastic bottles, but oatmeal and milk containers to your local recycling center.
